# NLS digital talking book wiki

Open **index.html** in a browser. It contains all wiki articles, styles and scripts and needs no server or installation. Wiki content works offline. Attachment citations link directly to public SAM.gov downloads and need internet access. The source library also includes local backup links. Keep the sources folder alongside index.html to retain those backups and the supplementary analysis/text extract.

## Contents

- `index.html`: searchable HTML reader, topic catalog, deep links, article outlines, theme control and printing.
- `articles/`: editable Markdown documents for later migration to a wiki or document platform.
- `sources/`: the four original opportunity attachments and the user's original analysis text, plus a convenience text extract of the SOW.
- `content-index.json`: article titles, summaries, navigation groups and related-page links.
- `build.mjs`: rebuilds index.html from the Markdown using Node.js and the marked package. The built reader itself has no runtime dependency.
- `diagrams/`: editable responsive diagram snippets and interactions, embedded into the reader at build time.
- `reader-template.html`: the reusable local reader template used by the builder.
- `package.json`: optional pinned dependency for rebuilding the reader.
- `manifest.json`: hashes of the preserved source files and the edition date.

## Reading and editing

Start with the home page and choose a reading path. Each article distinguishes requirements, proposals and unresolved questions. PDF page links use file-page numbers; DOCX citations use sections. The original analysis is preserved verbatim and contains historical sandbox links; use the wiki source library for working links.

To update content, edit the Markdown, then run `node build.mjs`. On another machine, run `npm install` in this folder first if the marked package is unavailable. The builder uses an installed `marked` module or the bundled runtime available on this machine. No build step is required merely to read the delivered wiki.

## Moving the wiki

Copy the entire folder to the new destination. Wiki navigation and backup files use relative local paths; primary attachment citations use absolute SAM.gov URLs, so they also work when the wiki is hosted online. Article URLs such as `index.html#compiler` can be bookmarked. Browser back/forward follows article navigation. A future platform can import the Markdown and source files.

Prepared October 1, 2026. No model benchmark or NLS playback acceptance has been demonstrated. Current web references are not an approved procurement baseline.

## Online attachment references

All primary SOW and J1–J3 citations point to the original public SAM.gov download endpoints. PDF page fragments are retained where present, though SAM.gov/browser download behavior may prevent automatic page selection. The source library links to the opportunity page if an attachment URL changes. The files in `sources/` remain unchanged as backups. ## Visual explanations

Seven diagrams are embedded beside the relevant article sections, with a visual directory on the start page. The architecture map compares both input routes; the repair explorer shows reuse, rebuild and conditional dependencies. The other diagrams cover segmentation, data relationships, clip timing, quality/acceptance and AWS responsibilities. All figures use the reader theme, reflow on narrow screens, and need no external diagram library. Diagram markers in Markdown are expanded by the build script; the surrounding text remains the editable explanation.

## Cloudflare Pages deployment

Live wiki: https://nls-talking-book-wiki.pages.dev/

Project: `nls-talking-book-wiki`. Production branch: `main`. Direct upload includes `index.html`, `README.md`, `articles/`, and `sources/`. Diagram assets are embedded in the reader. Build tools and credentials are not published. Future content edits require rebuilding the reader and uploading these public files again.
